Born in Hilo, she was a 1954 graduate of Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama, U.S. Marine Corps veteran, bartender, front desk clerk and account clerk at the former Naniloa Hotel, worked for Gumapac Co., attended Malia Puka O Kalani and St. Joseph Catholic churches, and enjoyed family, cooking, sewing, reading and sudoku. Born in Honaunau, he was a retired head custodian at Waiakeawaena Elementary School, former equipment operator for Kuwaye Trucking and other trucking companies, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and U.S. Army veteran during World War II.
